AutomaDoc for Microsoft 365
AutomaDoc fills Word, Excel and PowerPoint templates from the data your company keeps in Microsoft 365, and you use it from the Microsoft tools you already work in.

Signing in
Section titled “Signing in”Sign in with your Microsoft 365 work or school account, in the add-ins and in the Company Portal. Personal Microsoft accounts (Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live) cannot sign in. Everyone from your Microsoft 365 organization joins the same AutomaDoc account; see Sign in with Microsoft, Google or email.
What needs your admin
Section titled “What needs your admin”Microsoft lets each organization decide which apps its people may allow to read their data. Generating from the rows you select in the Excel add-in needs no extra permission: the add-in sends AutomaDoc only those rows. Everything AutomaDoc reads or writes in Microsoft 365 on its own needs the broader permissions, which most organizations let only an admin approve:
- saving documents next to the workbook;
- SharePoint lists, and pictures stored in SharePoint;
- any run nobody starts by hand, such as a Power Automate flow or the HTTP trigger reading a workbook.
The admin approves once for the whole organization. Admin consent for Microsoft 365 lists exactly what is asked and how to send your admin the link. AutomaDoc only ever acts as you: it reads and writes what your own account can, never more.
Connecting your data
Section titled “Connecting your data”Each kind of data is connected separately on the Connections page of the Company Portal, so you are only asked for what you use. See Connecting your data.
Templates and plans
Section titled “Templates and plans”Templates use the same syntax as on every platform, and your plan, seats and packs are the same whichever platform a document comes from. Plans are bought on our site through Paddle, not through Microsoft. See Plans, seats and packs.
