Plans, seats and packs
AutomaDoc has four plans. Free and Pro cover your whole company. Starter and Business are sold per seat: a seat is for one named person. Document packs are a one-time purchase that tops up the free monthly allowance. Prices are on the pricing page.

The Starter and Business columns describe what the person holding the seat gets. What counts as an automated document is explained below.
Your company’s own monthly allowance is shown on the Pricing page of the Company Portal.
A company on Free since before 14 October 2026 keeps 100 documents a month, with no footer line, until 16 November 2026. It then moves to 30 a month and receives a free pack of 1,000 documents valid for 12 months; documents taken from that pack carry the footer line. See the changelog.
A seat belongs to one named person. That person gets their plan wherever they use AutomaDoc. An admin of your company chooses who holds each seat in the Company Portal, and can give it to someone else later.
- Starter: unlimited documents generated by hand, no wait before each generation, no footer line, and saving documents back next to your data.
- Business: everything in Starter, plus automation (the HTTP trigger, the webhook callback and the status written back to your data). Each Business seat includes 20,000 automated documents a year. The HTTP trigger runs with nobody generating, so it works for the whole company while it holds at least one Business seat; turning it on for a template takes someone with a Business seat.
Any seat raises your company’s template limit from 2 to 10, for everyone. Extra templates can be added on any plan.
Colleagues without a seat
Section titled “Colleagues without a seat”Everyone without a seat keeps using AutomaDoc on the Free allowance: your company’s 30 documents a month, shared, with the short wait and the footer line. Documents generated by someone with a seat are not taken from that allowance.
If most of your team would need a seat, Pro covers everyone in the company and costs less than three Business seats.
Automated documents
Section titled “Automated documents”A document is automated when it is made without someone clicking Generate for it:
- documents made through the document API, including those from the Power Automate connector, which calls it;
- documents started by the HTTP trigger;
- Lark Approval documents, made from approval requests, including tests and resends from the Company Portal.
Documents made with Generate in the Excel add-in, the Google Sheets add-on or the Lark Base extension are generated by hand, and so is Preview with real data in the template designer for a Lark Base template.
Each Business seat your company holds adds 20,000 automated documents a year. The year runs from the day your company’s oldest current Business seat started, and starts again on that date each year.
When the automated documents are used up, further ones come out of the free monthly allowance, and then out of a document pack.
Document packs
Section titled “Document packs”A pack is a number of documents you pay for once: 1,000, 5,000 or 50,000. There is no subscription.
- A pack covers any document, whatever it is generated from, by anyone in your company.
- Each month the free allowance is used first. After that, documents come out of your packs.
- A pack is valid for 12 months from the day you buy it. Documents still in it after that are lost.
- If you hold more than one pack, the one that expires first is used first.
- When the free allowance is used up and no pack has documents left, documents that would come out of them are not generated until the allowance resets (the Company Portal shows the day) or you buy a pack. Documents generated by someone with a seat are not affected.
How Lark Approval documents are counted
Section titled “How Lark Approval documents are counted”- A Lark Approval document is counted once per request, however many times it is sent.
- Testing a template on a request is free, up to 20 tests a day for your company (the day runs on UTC). Preview with real data in the template designer uses the same 20. Further tests that day are counted like any other document. A free test or preview has a large PREVIEW · AutomaDoc watermark across every page, so it cannot pass for the real document. A test that Pro or a seat pays for (a Business seat for a Lark Approval test) has none.
- Regenerate and send is free when that request has already been counted. If its first attempt failed before anything was counted, the resend is the one that counts.
- With a Business seat, Lark Approval documents come out of the seat’s automated documents. Without one, they come out of the free monthly allowance and then a pack.
The footer line
Section titled “The footer line”Documents that nobody has paid for carry one small line at the bottom: “Generated with AutomaDoc”. It is left off:
- documents generated by someone with a seat,
- automated documents, once your company has a Business seat,
- every document on Pro, including the 14-day trial,
- every document while a pack you bought still has documents in it.
