Track all updates and improvements to AutomaDoc.
v3.0.4: Staying signed in (2026-11-03)
Section titled “v3.0.4: Staying signed in (2026-11-03)”- Fixed: with AutomaDoc open in two places at once (two tabs, or the extension and the Company Portal), you were sometimes asked to sign in again
- Fixed: a document from the document API that was being sent again in the background could briefly show as failed before it arrived
v3.0.3: Automations hold up when the network is slow (2026-10-28)
Section titled “v3.0.3: Automations hold up when the network is slow (2026-10-28)”- Fixed: an automation calling the generate link (for example an HTTP request in a Lark automation) could get “The document service is unavailable”, or time out, when the network between Cloudflare and our document service was congested, and that record got no document. Such a document is now sent again in the background for up to about 24 minutes, and the automation gets its answer within seconds
v3.0.2: Google Workspace super admins (2026-10-25)
Section titled “v3.0.2: Google Workspace super admins (2026-10-25)”- Fixed: Confirm with Google on the Integrations page, and signing in as a Google Workspace super admin, always ended in “Google did not answer”. Google now confirms a super admin as it should
- Fixed: the addresses
/terms,/privacy,/refund,/contact,/pricingand/abouton automadoc.cc now go straight to the English page
v3.0.1: Free previews are watermarked (2026-10-25)
Section titled “v3.0.1: Free previews are watermarked (2026-10-25)”- A free test or preview (Preview with real data in the template designer, a test of a Lark Approval template, a preview from sample data) now has a large PREVIEW · AutomaDoc watermark across every page, sheet or slide, attached files included. A document generated the usual way, or a test that Pro or a seat pays for (a Business seat for a Lark Approval test), has none. See Plans and packs
- Fixed: the last person to sign a request was told “Others still have to sign” for a moment after finishing. The page now says at once that everyone has signed and that the signed PDF is being prepared
- Fixed: the verify address on a signature certificate is now a link you can click in the PDF
- Fixed: a document made without signing, from the document API or the Company Portal’s Generate page, listed its
{SIGN:…}signature box among the fields with no value in the data - Fixed: the email sign-in step now says where to look when the code has not arrived after a few minutes, and how to ask for a new one
v3.0.0: Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, AutomaDoc Sign, seats and packs (2026-10-24)
Section titled “v3.0.0: Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, AutomaDoc Sign, seats and packs (2026-10-24)”AutomaDoc now works with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Lark and your own systems. This release also brings new plans and document packs, Excel and PowerPoint templates, a template designer, one document from many records, e-signature on every plan, a document API, and AutomaDoc Sign. See Choose your platform.
- Sign in to the Company Portal with Microsoft, Google, Lark or an email address. The first sign-in creates your company’s account, and colleagues from the same Microsoft 365 organization or Google Workspace domain join it. See Sign in with Microsoft, Google or email
- Microsoft 365: an Excel add-in that makes a document from each row you select, and a Word add-in for writing and checking templates. Your Microsoft 365 admin approves AutomaDoc once and deploys the add-ins for everyone from the admin center, with the files from the Company Portal’s Integrations page. See AutomaDoc for Microsoft 365 and Deploy the add-ins for your organization
- Excel workbooks, SharePoint lists and Dataverse tables as data, with documents saved next to the workbook or a status and a link written back to the list item. See SharePoint lists and Dataverse
- A connector for Power Automate, Power Apps, Logic Apps and Copilot Studio, imported as a custom connector, to make a document in a flow. See Power Automate and Power Apps
- Google Workspace: connect Google Sheets in the Company Portal and fill templates from the rows of a spreadsheet, with the HTTP trigger or the document API. AutomaDoc asks Google only for the spreadsheets you choose. The Google Sheets add-on is coming to the Google Workspace Marketplace. See AutomaDoc for Google Workspace
- Data from any platform in any account: a Lark account can read Excel workbooks or Google Sheets, and a Microsoft 365 account Google Sheets, each person with their own Microsoft or Google sign-in. See Connecting your data
- API-only accounts: an account made with just an email address, for filling templates from your own systems. See API-only accounts
- Generate from a form or a spreadsheet in the Company Portal: your account’s own templates make documents from a form, or from the rows of a CSV or Excel file, with line items from a second sheet, a download of each document or a zip of all of them, and a retry of the rows that failed. These are your own documents: a seat, the free allowance or a pack pays for them. See Generate from a form or a spreadsheet
- People in the Company Portal: members and admins, who may join from your organization, join requests, and invitations by email
AutomaDoc Sign, a second product: upload any PDF, mark where people sign, and send it by email; or sign a PDF yourself. See Send a signature request.
- Send a signature request from a PDF, a Word, Excel or PowerPoint file, or a document AutomaDoc generated. Signers need no account: each opens a link and signs in the browser, on a computer or a phone, in the order you choose, optionally with an access code
- Place fields by hand, with
[[…]]text tags in the document, or with anchors (a phrase the field is placed next to) - Sign it myself: sign a PDF you received, with your saved signature, free and unlimited
- The signed PDF comes with a certificate: who signed, when, from which IP address, and the SHA-256 fingerprint of each version of the document. Every step is kept in an audit trail whose events are chained by their hashes
- A public verify page checks that a PDF is the one a completed request delivered; the file never leaves your device
- An envelopes API: create, send, list, read, download, void and remind (
/api/v1/envelopes) - Pricing: signing your own PDFs is free; a sent request uses one document of your allowance; seats and Pro include sending
Word templates made for another Lark document app now work unchanged. See Coming from another Lark document app.
-
Sections:
{#isNew}…{/isNew}shows its text when the field has a value,{#!isNew}…{/isNew}when it is empty, and{#Status=="Paid"}…{/}when a condition holds -
{#if}compares numbers and dates too:{#if Amount > 1000},{#if Due_Date < "2026-01-01"} -
Loop filters join conditions with
&&and||, and compare dates written2026-01-31as dates -
{$index+1},sortBy, and{>Items}at the start of a table row as a horizontal loop -
Pictures written as text:
{%src}inside an attachment loop, withsizeandmaxSize, and{$isImage}and{$fileName}to list the files that are not pictures -
New filters:
avg, maxandminbesidesum;toFixed;chineseUppercase, chineseLowercaseandchineseFinancialfor amounts in Chinese;customDateanddate:'full';uppercaseandlowercaseas other names forupperandlower -
Filter arguments can be in single quotes:
{Price | currency:'USD'} -
A placeholder with a space before its closing brace,
{Name | upper }, is now filled in rather than printed as typed -
Fixed: the
datefilter ignored the template’s Timezone and used UTC, so a date picked in Lark east of UTC printed as the day before ({Due_Date | date:"DD/MM/YYYY"}). A timezone written in the filter still wins -
Fixed: a date sent as text with no time zone (
2026-01-31from the document API,2026-01-31 10:00from an approval form) printed as the day before, or at the wrong hour, with the date filters in a template whose timezone is not UTC. It now prints as written -
Fixed: in an Excel template, a total under a loop over only part of each repeated block (a grand total over a nested loop’s line row, or one row of a two-row item) also added the rows in between, such as each group’s subtotal. It now adds only that row of every copy
-
New template designer: build a template by dragging blocks (headings, text with fields, details tables, line items with totals, pictures, QR codes and barcodes, signatures, columns, conditions) in your browser, without Word. Start from your fields, a blank page, or an invoice, quotation, delivery note or approval form layout. Publishing turns the design into an ordinary Word template. Open it with Design in browser in the extension or Design visually on an approval template. See Template designer
-
Also in the template designer: a Stamp block for a company chop that floats over the page, a List block for multi-value fields (bullets, lines or one line, each value once), Hide when empty on headings, text, pictures, tables and lists, and a switch to repeat a table’s header row on every page
-
Preview with real data in the designer is a test: it writes nothing back to the record and calls no webhook, and the first 20 tests a day (previews and approval tests together) are free. A design always makes a Word template; publishing one over an Excel or PowerPoint template asks first
-
New template filters behind the List block:
unique(each value once, in loops and beforejoin, sumandcount) andjoinwith a field ({Items | join:", ":"Name"}). A second argument tojoinwas ignored before; it is now read as that field -
E-signature, on every plan including Free: send a generated document out for signature by link. Mark where each person signs with a picture whose Alt Text is
{SIGN:Customer}; colleagues are asked by the AutomaDoc bot, people outside the company get a link you pass on, optionally with a password and a signing order. Signers draw or type their signature on their phone, and the signed PDF, with an audit page, is sent to you, and saved to the record on a plan that saves to attachment fields. Outside signers can each get a generated password, and an automation can send a document for signature with the signers taken from the record and the links written back to it for your own email step. See E-signature -
New per-seat plans: Starter ($18 per seat a month, or $180 a year) for one person who generates by hand, and Business ($36, or $360 a year) which adds the HTTP trigger, webhook callback, status field and 20,000 automated documents a year per seat. Colleagues without a seat stay on Free. See Plans, seats and packs
-
New document packs: 1,000, 5,000 or 50,000 documents, paid once and valid for 12 months, used once the free monthly allowance runs out
-
Approval documents are counted once per request; tests (up to 20 a day) and resending a document for a request already counted are free
-
Documents generated on the Free allowance carry a small “Generated with AutomaDoc” footer line. A seat removes it from its holder’s documents; Pro, or a pack you bought, removes it from all of them
-
Free accounts created before 14 October 2026 keep their 100 documents a month until 16 November 2026, with no footer line and with saving to an attachment field, the status field and the webhook callback working as before. On 16 November they move to 30 documents a month with a free pack of 1,000 documents valid for 12 months, and the rules above apply from then on
-
Those accounts are told about the change by an AutomaDoc bot message and by a banner in the Base extension, which everyone sees for two weeks after the change
-
The privacy policy names Paddle, which processes payments, invoices and sales tax, and the servers we run at Hetzner in Nuremberg, Germany, for document generation and monitoring
-
Pro is unchanged and now presented as the plan for teams
-
The Generation Top-Up is no longer sold; document packs replace it
-
The pricing page has a plan comparison table and answers to common questions about seats and packs
-
Webhook calls now identify themselves as
User-Agent: AutomaDoc-Webhook/1.0(it wasLark-AutomaDoc-Webhook/1.0). If your server filters on the old value, update the filter -
Seats and document packs are bought on the Billing page of the Company Portal, and seats are given to people on its Users page
-
When the free allowance runs out, the Base extension says what can be done (buy a pack, get a seat, or wait for the reset day) instead of showing an error, and shows each person what their documents are counted against
-
Save to an attachment field, the status field, the webhook callback and the HTTP trigger are shown as available or not for each person, with what includes them. The Automation page lists the HTTP trigger’s refusal codes
Approval documents that look signed, and keep working when the form changes.
- New
{#Approvals}loop: one row per approval or rejection, with the step, name, action, time, comment and the approver’s signature image. The starter template now ends with an Approvals table ready to print as a signature block. See The approvals block - Signature images: Lark does not share the signatures drawn in Lark Approval with apps, so you upload a PNG or JPEG for each approver once, on the approval template’s page. Every approval template prints it where a picture has the Alt Text
{Signature} - New variables:
{Final_Approver},{Approved_At},{CC_List},{Reverted}(whether a request was later revoked), and{Approval_Link}. Use{QR:Approval_Link}to print a QR code that opens the request in Lark {#Approval_History}rows gain{Target},{Received},{Decided}and{Signature}, and CCs appear as rows of their own. Comments gain{Files}- When the approval form is edited in Lark, documents keep coming with the current file and renamed fields keep printing. The admin who set it up is told once what was added, removed, re-created or changed type, and confirms with I have checked the template. A field deleted and created again prints blank until then
- Requests submitted before a form change are generated from the file written for them: replaced template files are kept (the last ten that produced a document), and Documents shows when an earlier file was used. After I have checked the template, an older request still prints its own fields
- When the bot cannot post a document to the group, the requester still gets theirs and the admin is told it was not sent to the group (not that it was not generated)
- Rows of the starter template’s tables no longer break across pages
- An approval template set to PDF never sends a Word file instead: if the PDF cannot be made, the admin is told and can use Regenerate and send once it is fixed
- Pictures taken in the Lark app without a name are called “Picture 1”, “Picture 2” instead of borrowing another picture’s name
{Approvers}is unchanged: it still prints the names of everyone who approved- Amounts can also be written
{Amount.Currency}{Amount.Value}, as some approval templates already are.{Amount}and{Amount_Currency}are unchanged - A recipe for printing one step’s or one person’s signature on its own:
{#Approvals | where:"Step == 'Finance approval'"}around a{Signature}picture
Choose which rows a loop shows and in what order, and repeat a loop across a table’s columns. See Filtering, sorting and limiting rows.
- Loops take filters on their opening tag:
{#Items | where:"Status == 'Approved'" | sort:"Amount":"desc" | limit:10}shows the ten largest approved lines, largest first wherekeeps the rows that match a condition:==,!=,>,>=,<,<=, or just a field name for “has a value”. Numbers are compared by their real value, not by how Lark displays them, and dates sort in date ordersortorders the rows by a field, ascending or with"desc";limitandoffsetkeep or skip the first rows- Totals can follow the same filters, so the total under a filtered table matches it:
{Items | where:"Status == 'Approved'" | sum:"Amount"} - New
countfilter:{Items | count}prints the number of rows, filtered or not - New
horizontaloption repeats a loop’s cells across a table, one column per item, for comparison and matrix layouts:{#Staff | horizontal}{Name}{/Staff} - A filter that names a field the rows do not have is never silently ignored: the loop shows all of its rows and the document gets a warning naming the filter, and template upload flags a filter it cannot read
Templates can be Excel workbooks and PowerPoint presentations, not only Word documents.
- Upload a
.xlsxor.pptxfile as a template and get back a filled workbook, presentation or PDF. In Excel, a loop repeats rows and every formula, merged cell and print area below moves with them, so totals stay right; in PowerPoint, a loop can repeat a slide per item. See Excel and PowerPoint templates - Templates made for other Lark document apps work as they are:
{%Photo}puts a picture in an Excel cell or a PowerPoint shape,{>Items}{Name}repeats an Excel cell across columns, and{:Items}repeats a whole slide per item, or shows a slide only when a value or checkbox is set - Pictures in a Word, Excel or PowerPoint file are now JPEG or PNG, so they show in Office 2016 and 2019 and in Office on older Macs, which displayed the WebP pictures image compression produced as broken. Transparent pictures such as signatures and stamps stay transparent. PDFs still use WebP, which keeps them small
One document from many records, and attachments inside the PDF. See One document from many records and Attachments inside the PDF.
- A template can make one document from all the selected records: a list (the records are the
{#Records}loop, with{RecordCount},{Date}and{Records | sum:"Amount"}), the whole template once per record with a page each (or running on, for slips), or a label sheet with several records per page (A4 3×8, 3×7, 2×7, Letter 3×10, 2×5 or your own measurements). Pictures and QR codes work on every label - A combined document counts as one document, whatever the number of records (up to 500). Records go in the order of the view, or use Use all records in this view
- Save to Base writes the one file to every record it was made from, and every record’s status is updated
- Auto Generate makes a list template from the columns you pick, in your order, with a total row for number fields
- The HTTP trigger of a combined template takes
?recordIds=rec1,rec2or a JSON list - New
{ATTACH:Field}placeholder: the field’s PDFs, pictures and Word, Excel or PowerPoint files are added to the PDF after the document, or at that point with{ATTACH:Field | inline}. Works for approval documents’ attachment and image fields too. A file that cannot be added is left out with a warning, never failing the document
Fill a template from your own system, and move templates between tables, Bases and companies.
- New document API: send a template’s data as JSON (from an ERP, a form, a script) and get the finished document back as PDF, PNG or the template’s own format. Up to 50 documents in one request;
?wait=returns the document in the same call. Works for Base and approval templates, on every plan including Free, with its documents counted as automated documents - Company API keys: an app admin can create keys in the Company Portal (Company → API keys) that work for every template, with the document API and the HTTP trigger. Each template’s own key keeps working
- The HTTP trigger’s response now lists the documents it started, and their status can be read through the API
- An HTTP trigger naming a record that is not in the table (deleted, or a mistyped id) now fails with a reason naming the record, instead of making a document with every field blank
- The HTTP trigger now has limits: 300 requests a minute per template, its own budget since a Lark automation does not retry, and 600 documents a minute per company, shared with the document API. Over either it answers
429(RATE_LIMITED). Every refusal has acode, and a request the document service could not take is answered502(WORKER_UNAVAILABLE) with its documents marked failed at once - A picture that could not be fetched is reported: the document API’s status and the webhook callback carry
warnings, naming the field and the picture’s host - Duplicating a template keeps its design from the template designer and, in the same table, the fields under Signing by automation
- The HTTP trigger and the document API can send the generated document for signature (
"sign"in the request body, on the plan each route already needs: any plan for the document API, a Business seat or Pro for the HTTP trigger). The trigger takes the signers from the record and writes outside signers’ links back to it; the API hands them back once, in the document’s status. See Send the document for signature - With a template that makes one document from many records, the document API makes one document from a list in
data: up to 500 items, each a record of{#Records}, a page or a label. An optionalmodechecks that the template makes what your script expects. See One document from all the items - Export and copy on the Template tab: duplicate a template, copy it to another table or Base, or export it as an
.automadocfile and import it anywhere (Import template in the template list, Import on the Company Portal’s Approvals page). Exports carry no webhook, key or field link. See Export, import and copy - Import template also takes a layout exported from another Lark document app: it is converted to a Word template and you are shown what was converted and what to finish in Word
- Uploading or importing a template written for another Lark document app now tells you what of its syntax was recognised and what will not print as intended
- My Documents in the Company Portal shows whether a document came from the API, the HTTP trigger or an approval
- Automation has a recipe for each kind of Base automation trigger, and an example for AnyCross and other HTTP tools
A redesigned Base extension and Company Portal.
- The Base extension’s panel is redesigned for its narrow side panel: a Records card that says what Generate will use, one button that says what it makes (Generate 5 documents), results as a list with download, print and warnings for each document, the Template tab in sections that open and close, and a search on the Variables page. Dark mode follows Lark’s theme
- The Company Portal has a sidebar with every page, and a dashboard with this month’s documents, packs, templates, seats and recent documents. Company API keys have their own page, Company → API keys
- The Company Portal’s sign-in button in an ordinary browser reads Continue in browser
- One Generate takes up to 500 records
- PDFs of documents in Thai, Chinese, Japanese and Korean use fonts closer to the ones the document was written with
- A PDF conversion interrupted by a restart of the converter is retried, instead of the document coming back as a Word file
- When a document is too large for the PDF converter, and so comes back as a Word file, its warning gives the size and what to try
- A document the generation service never reports back on is marked failed after 50 minutes, instead of showing as in progress for ever; for an approval request, the admin is told
- The pricing page no longer offers template creation and consultancy as one-time services
No third-party analytics.
- PostHog analytics removed from the Base extension and the Company Portal: usage is no longer tracked by a third party, and sessions are no longer recorded. The privacy policy is updated to match
v2.9.0: Approval documents (2026-10-14)
Section titled “v2.9.0: Approval documents (2026-10-14)”Generate a document the moment a Lark Approval request is approved, and send it to the person who asked, with no Base, no automation and nobody clicking Generate.
- New Approvals page in the Company Portal: connect a Lark Approval form, and every approved request gets its document. See Approval documents
- AutomaDoc reads the form itself: fields become placeholders, each detail list becomes a loop, and a starter template with all of them is built for you
- The approval history is available too:
{Approvers}, and{#Approval_History}with the step, person, action, time and comment of each stage - Pictures attached to a request are printed in the document, a date range gives you its start, end and duration separately, and an amount comes with its currency (
{Amount_Currency}) - The finished PDF or Word file is sent to the requester as a message from the AutomaDoc bot, and optionally posted to a group chat such as a finance archive
- Test before anyone sees it: generate a document from a real request, check it, then Go live. Replacing the template file takes the approval back to Draft until it is tested again
- Regenerate and send resends a document after a template fix, and Generate and send covers requests approved before you went live
- If a document cannot be generated, the admin who set it up is told why by the bot; the requester never sees an error
- Lark app admins only. Your Lark administrator needs to approve AutomaDoc’s updated permissions the first time
- New accounts on the Free plan get 30 generations a month. Existing accounts keep their current allowance
- Fixed: deleting a template from the Company Portal left its file in storage
v2.8.0: Totals for line-item tables (2026-10-08)
Section titled “v2.8.0: Totals for line-item tables (2026-10-08)”Add up a column of a loop (the total at the bottom of an invoice or purchase request) without a rollup field in Lark.
- New
sumfilter:{Items | sum:"Price"}adds up one field across all rows of a loop. Put it outside the loop, usually in the row below it - Works on any loop (linked records and Lark Approval detail tables, which have no rollup field of their own):
{Details | sum:"Total_Price"} - Chain it with
numberorcurrencyso the total matches the rows above:{Details | sum:"Total_Price" | currency:"IDR":"id-ID":2}printsRp 45.069.391,00 - Empty cells count as 0. If a row holds something that is not a number, the total is left blank and a warning names the row, rather than printing a total that skips a line. The same goes for a list whose linked records could not all be loaded
- Number filters and
sumnow work on a Lookup that returns a single number (a looked-up unit price on each row, say), using its real value rather than the displayed text - A
joinseparator can now contain|, as in{Tags | join:" | "} - Fixed: a field used both as a loop and as a value appeared twice under Template Fields (takes effect the next time the template is uploaded)
v2.7.1: Approval amounts & currency decimals (2026-10-07)
Section titled “v2.7.1: Approval amounts & currency decimals (2026-10-07)”Money amounts from Lark Approval now behave like numbers, and the currency filter can show decimals.
- Money amounts in a Lark Approval detail table are now real numbers: they print like a Base Currency field (
Rp 20.720.721,00instead of20720721.000000 IDR) and work with thenumberandcurrencyfilters - The
currencyfilter takes decimals as a third setting:{Price | currency:"IDR":"id-ID":2}printsRp 1.234,50. Useful for rupiah, yen and won, which show no decimals by default - A malformed filter setting, such as the currency code
RUPIAHor the localeid_ID, now shows a warning and leaves the value as it is, instead of failing the whole document - The “not a valid number” warning now shows the value that could not be read
- Fixed: a Number or Date field in an output filename pattern came out empty
- Fixed: Number and Date fields were missing from the fields sent to a webhook
- Fixed: a multi-select option or user name containing
/or:could end up in a file name unchanged
v2.7.0: Lark Approval line items (2026-10-05)
Section titled “v2.7.0: Lark Approval line items (2026-10-05)”One document per approval, with every line of its detail table, straight from the approval sync, with no extra tables or links.
- Lark Approval detail tables become loops: sync the approval to Base with Details as a single field, and AutomaDoc reads each line as a row:
{#Details}{Nama_Aset} {Qty}{/Details}builds a line-item table in one document per request - The Variables tab shows a synced Details field as a Loop, with the approval’s own column names inside it
- Auto Generate builds the line-item table for you
- Numbers from approvals print as they appear in the form (
2, not2.000000) and still work with thenumberandcurrencyfilters - Existing templates are unaffected:
{Details}on its own still prints the full text
v2.6.1: Browser sign-in, quarterly billing & payment links (2026-08-15)
Section titled “v2.6.1: Browser sign-in, quarterly billing & payment links (2026-08-15)”Reach the company portal from any browser, pay quarterly, and settle invoices straight from the email.
- Sign in to the company portal from a regular web browser with your Lark account, without opening it inside Lark. Open in Lark is still the fastest way in, with no consent screen
- Sign out of a browser session from the company portal
- Pro can now be billed quarterly: $285 per quarter, the same $95 a month as monthly billing, charged less often. Annual remains the discounted option
- Payment links in invoice, card-update and failed-payment emails now open the payment directly, even when you are not signed in, and can be completed in the Lark client in one click
- The website links to the company portal from its menu and footer
- Fixed: the Free plan rate-limit message said one generation per minute when the limit is two, and it now appears in your language
- Fixed: the billing portal could fail to open when your plan and add-ons were bought by different people in your organization
- Fixed: buying a generation top-up with a different email could stop you managing your Pro subscription from the billing portal
- Fixed: after paying through a payment link, your plan did not update on the dashboard until you reloaded
- Fixed: closing the payment window left the page waiting. You can now reopen it
- Fixed: the quota reset date read “1th” instead of “1st” in English
v2.6.0: Self-serve billing & a new docs site (2026-07-30)
Section titled “v2.6.0: Self-serve billing & a new docs site (2026-07-30)”Buy and manage your plan yourself, and read the documentation in your own language.
- Self-serve billing: subscribe to Pro monthly or annually from the Billing page of the company portal, no sales conversation needed
- Buy extra templates on any plan, including Free
- Generation top-ups: one-off packs of generations for the months you need more than your quota
- Manage your own subscription: update your card, download invoices or cancel from the billing portal
- Cancelling now runs to the end of the period you have already paid for, instead of stopping immediately
- Pro means unlimited generation: no monthly cap, no rate limit, no 30-second wait
- Templates above your allowance are parked rather than deleted. Raise your limit or resubscribe and they come back
- New documentation site at docs.automadoc.cc, translated into all 7 languages
- Refund policy published on the website
- Trial and upgrade banners can now be dismissed
- Faster company portal: pages appear in their final layout straight away, and data you have already loaded is reused
- Fixed: editors who could not share a Base were sometimes treated as view-only
- Fixed: top-up credits you had paid for could be cleared by the monthly quota reset
- Fixed: extra template slots you had paid for could be lost when your plan was changed
- Fixed: generations whose result failed to report back are retried instead of appearing stuck
- Fixed: a new template now remembers the timezone of the browser that created it
v2.5.0: Template filters & attachment loops (2026-02-28)
Section titled “v2.5.0: Template filters & attachment loops (2026-02-28)”New template syntax for filters, conditionals, and attachment loops, plus template validation and Japanese language.
- Template filters: format dates, currency, percentages, and set defaults directly in placeholders (e.g.
{Field|date},{Field|currency},{Field|default:"N/A"}) - Attachment loops: iterate over variable-count attachments with
{#AttachmentField}{.}{/AttachmentField}syntax - Conditional equality and inequality: use
{#if Field == "value"}and{#if Field != "value"}for precise matching - User field support: reference Created By, Modified By, and other user fields in templates
- Template validation: auto-detects placeholders and shows warnings for missing or invalid fields
- Lookup attachment fields now supported in templates
- Japanese language support: AutomaDoc now available in 7 languages
- 10 new downloadable use case templates: invoices, certificates, delivery notes, expense reports, offer letters, purchase orders, sales proposals, meeting minutes, inventory reports, and project reports
